20 Weeks!

Wow, I'm considered "half way there" now! Holy moly! :) The most exciting thing about the past week is that I'm feeling Super Bean move almost every day now. I love it! Just slight little thumps and bumps but I'm starting to recognize them better now. I think I even felt it on the outside once when I had my hand on my belly. I can't wait until she is strong enough so Brian can feel the movements too.

This past weekend we decided to start our baby registry. Goodness gracious. We went into it very excited about how much fun we thought it would be... well... it's so overwhelming! We felt completely clueless about what we need, which brands/styles to choose from for the big items... We spent an hour or so at it and ended up exhausted and headache ridden, so we still have to add to it. We started with Babies R Us. They gave us a nice little goodie bag and a list to go by. Luckily we can edit our list online so I just went through it and added a few more things. We'll be talking to our experienced friends and family about the must-haves so we have a better idea of what to register for. Here is a link to the Babies R Us registry (hope it works right).

We will probably also register at Target. Maybe we'll do that this weekend. We still need to think about a crib/bedding, etc. We thought about doing a Snoopy/Woodstock/Peanuts theme, but after getting so overwhelmed with registering, I think we'll just stick with what looks cute while we are at the store. If people find any cute Peanuts character stuff, that's cool, but I think it would be too difficult to try to make it the entire decor.

I also finally bought a Prenatal Yoga DVD, so I have to try it out today. I have to start doing something because I'm getting more and more sore and uncomfortable trying to sleep at night. Last night, when I rolled from one side to the other, I felt tons of cracks and pops in my back, hips and shoulders! That's never happened before!

We also have lots of work to do to make room in our house for all the baby stuff we are going to need! Time to weed out our stuff and organize better. I think my nesting urge is setting in! Anyway, I have to run. Must take my weekly belly photo, do some yoga and get ready to head to work.

Will post again soon! Hey, who's reading this anyway? Leave me comments! :)

  4. Jaie and Brian,..nice Blog!! You are so clever. I will check in often to see how things are going. I am getting all excited, (like you aren't?) about getting "stuff" for Super Bean. Let me know when you think you are settled on a name, ok?
Of course I didn't name Gary until he was out of the hospital. By then, I was a little late for dinner, etc, etc. 8^/

  5. You are too dang cute! I love, and feel the excitement when I read your posts, and blogs. One thing I will say......the comment Dy left you about having more than you will need, is being very generous! LOL My first child, I went crazy nits, making sure I had EVERYTHING I could possibly need for her, and found out that a good half of it, was so unnecessary..to the point I stored them away, in hopes of having them around for my next baby. Thankfully, It worked out that way when I had my son. I had SO MANY CLOTHES for my first daughter, that the ones I packed away, still had tags on them, and came in quite handy when I needed a baby shower gift! It also paid off when the 2nd daughter surprised me! By the time I had my litte Jenna.......I realized that sleepers, onesies, and socks were really all I needed. The swing, was my arms, the snugli, was my arms, the johnny jump-up, was my lap.....The fancy bottles were my.........well.....we won't go there! LOL! ....and so on. All that baby needs, is 2 loving parents to hold her close, keep her warm, and satisfy her little belly. The rest will all fall into place as needed! You are going to make incredible parents! XOXOXO
