My first blog post

I've never really blogged before, aside from the one I kept for our wedding... (http://jaiebrian.webs.com/) so I thought it might be fun to start. Now that a lot of our family and friends are in far away places like FL, AK, TX, AZ, CA, etc... this could be a nice way to keep people more in the loop about our lives these days. I'm not very good about calling people to keep in touch, because, well, I'm really not a phone person. I don't care much for talking on the phone most of the time. Not sure why that is, but I have been this way for quite some time. I feel guilty sometimes when I think about all the people I never really call... if you are one of them, please, don't take it personally! I really don't do it on purpose.

Anyway, another reason I thought it would be fun to have a blog is because a month or two ago, I came across this blog - http://nieniedialogues.com/. If you haven't seen it before, you should check it out. I just love the photos she posts and there's such a great story to this family and their life. It's very inspiring and uplifting.

Brian is off work this week and is currently in the living room relaxing, so I am going to go join him now. Hopefully I will remember to keep up with this blog and let people know about it! :) Happy almost New Year! We are hoping for 2010 to be much much better than 2009 was...
