Holy Baby Shower!

Wow, my baby shower last weekend was amazing! Yummy food, friends and family, really cute decorations, and a crapload of presents! I couldn't believe it. It was so much fun. Thanks to everyone who came and to my sister Jessie and my Aunt Dy for organizing it all. We had my mom on speaker phone from TX when I was opening the presents from her (soooo many cool things, including the cutest bassinet ever!) and my sister Dan got to visit from FL through Skype. :) Don't you love technology?? Lots of people gave me handmade gifts that I just love. My Nana went a little crazy! :) I have tons of pictures, so I'll just post a few - in no particular order:

The nursery has been painted it's main color. Still need to do the accent/trim. I've gone through all the stuff we got at the shower as well as the 10 or so trash bags of stuff from Melissa. :) I've sorted things by size and now I have to start doing laundry. We have to build the crib too. Once that's done, I can start putting everything in it's place and decorating and then it will be ready for some photos.

Symptoms - noticed my ankles looked swollen the other day. Heartburn and acid reflux. Sore back, pubic bone and round ligaments. Sleepiness. Excitement and anticipation. I wonder when she'll decide to arrive!!

This weekend is our baby shower. I'm excited for that. It will be so fun! Tomorrow is our 3rd wedding anniversary. We are going to a friend's house for dinner. Hopefully on Memorial Day weekend, we'll have a little getaway to have some time for just the two of us. We have a BedandBreakfast.com gift certificate to use. Even if it's just one night, it will be nice to have the time together to relax a bit before the baby comes. :)

We bought the paint for the nursery. Still have to clear the room out more and get to the painting. It would be good if we can get that done before the shower Sunday, so then I can concentrate on decorating! Woohoo! Hope I still have the energy...
